{Queensday}

Today it's Queensday in Holland, the only time in the year, besides the Football World- and European cup, when the entire country turns orange and all kinds of festivities are being organized.

What I'll be doing by day is not sure yet, just live by the moment. One thing is certain, at night my best friend is having her birthday dinner. If I could afford it I would defenitly wear the outfit below, however that won't be happening, haha. Well except the orange top then ;-) So for my actual outfit of the day, you'll have to wait!

Wonder what plans my dutch readers have today and if they'll be wearing orange as well? Have fun!

Look of the day "A modern western"

Denim always goes with anything. From a more casual look to a slightly more dressed look. The fact that they're so versatile amkes them so popular. I can't help it but denim always seems to remind me of these old western movies with saloons and cowboys, you know. So when coming across this snakeskin detailed clutch it made the whole western look complete. The snakeskin but also the cutout pattern and the denim together make it together with the other items a very modern cowgirl look. The beaded collar is perfect to update any garment and matched well with the Michael Kors heels. What do you think?

Look of the day "Little Starfish"

Just a semi-casual outfit I pulled of the racks with some golden details, like these cap toe shoes from Mango, which I also wore here. I love this necklace with these little strafishes from Blanco; one of my favourite Spanish High street brands besides Zara and Mango.
Another place where I love to shop is Hong Kong. In particular the area around Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island. They have many teeny tiny boutiques where they sell mainly Korean brands as well as a lot of
Japanese brands. You'll always find the latest trends but just one piece of each, unlike the items you buy at e.g. Zara. That makes it very unlikely to run into someone wearing the same. That's one of the reasons why I love to combine it all en just mix it up and create my own personal style! Just a cocktail made of Spanish, Swedish, British and Asian brands!

Have a lovely weekend!

Look of the day "Diamonds & Silver"

I am really happy with these ripped jeans I bought this month at Zara and happier when I finally saw this necklace at H&M. It reminds me of the Thomas Binns diamond necklace with splashes of neon yellow, this one is just a lot cheaper! I decided to match it with this great ombre/dip-dye shirt from zara and some good heels, as a finishing touch the silver/metllic envelope clutch from H&M.

{Jeans & Shirt - Zara} - {Clutch & Necklace - H&M} - {Shoes - bought in Shanghai}

It is a comfortable look but because of these accessories it becomes more chic. Add some pop of colour with Essie's 'Braziliant' orange nailpolish and you're ready to go, hope you like it!

Look of the day "Yellow tie"

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend! I headed home to spend the weekend with my boyfriend and just relax and cocoon! So today just a quick outfit picture. Finally wearing my Aldo wedges which I bought last september during the sale in Chicago. Love that city! This jacket remind me of a posh event so mixed up with yellow accents we just call it 'Yellow Tie'; a whole new dresscode ;-) Hope you'll like it! A simple yet chic look with again the great faux leather pants from H&M trend (as seen here).

Look of the day "Tropical Denim"

A few weeks ago I wore these pants together with a gold touch (also see here). Today I decided to mix it up with a denim blouse (also seen here). I like the way the blue colour and denim material gives a contrast to the flashy and colourful pants.

Look of the day "Spikes on Neon"

I love anything from the H&M trend collection! That's also where I found this great faux leather skinny's and neon pink top!
One of the things I love about H&M are the prices. They enable you to look super stylish and on trend without spending your entire budget! The same goes for Zara and other High Street brands.
However I believe the key word is mixing, using different brands and qualities to get a more polished and personal look. Remember it's always a good thing to invest in some quality items!

{Top and pants - H&M trend} - {Shoes - Zara} - {Blazer and Necklace - bought in Hong Kong}

The blazer and necklace were bought in one of the many boutiques in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. They sell a lot of Japanese and Korean brands there and most of it is one piece only! See also my previous post with the same necklace here.

Look of the day "Maui on heels"

I'm crazy for florals nowadays but with the recent weather I feel kind of misplaced wearing them. I feel that it has to be a perfect spring or summer day with loads of sun to wear these.

However I couldn't wait till that day was to come. So even with the freezing cold temperature outside, I decided that those sunrays were inviting me to wear florals, so I did!

{Shirt and Shorts - Zara} - {Shoes - Marni for H&M} -
{Necklace and Sunglasses - H&M}

I decided to wear the shirt and shorts I bought past february in Hong Kong, I've been dying to wear it ever since. Luckily the black tights with holded me from freezing of my beautifull Marni for H&M heels.

Look of the day "Boyfriend catch"

I love the current trend of ombre and dip-dye clothing! For todays look I decided to snoop through my boyfriends closet and create something with his lovely dip-dye shirt from ASOS MEN and Levi's trousers!

I combined it with a few feminine pieces from my own collection. I love the result of this look and it made me want to look for more outfits in his part of our walk-in closet!! He'd better watch out now, haha! Sharing is definetly a good way to get through the economical crisis nowadays, stay tuned for more future boyfriend outfit posts!

Look of the day "Tweed times"

Since the temperature hasn't improved a quick outfit post of what I wore yesterday. I decided to wear this lovely tweed blazer which I temporarily borrowed from my sister with my favourite skinny jeans in oxblood red! Hope you like it!

Look of the day "Into the wild"

It seems winter isn't ready to trade places with spring. The past two weeks have been cold, cloudy and rainy. Not my favourite kind of weather and that is actually an understatement! However it was a good excuse to keep wearing the autumn/winter garments a bit longer, since I'm not entirely done with them yet!

What do you think about animal prints. I love them and I think they are sophisticated yet sexy, ofcourse depending on the type, pattern and amount of prints used. On some people it looks stylish on others.... well I won't call names. I decided to mix two different colours, both with the same animal print. Hope you like it!

{Jeans - Saint Tropez} - {Cardigan - Primark} - {Blouse - Flash} -
{Shoes - Zara} - {Necklace - H&M}

I love they statement necklaces also called Bib necklaces a lot. This one was bought at H&M a/w11. Luckily coming season they will have more of these necklaces to update your spring/summer outfit!

Happy wednesday!

Look of the day "Neon Knit"

Happy Easter everyone!
I hope you are enjoying the short easter break at home, away, with family, or friends or just by yourself! Unfortunately I had to work this weekend, but luckily I will be home tommorow and still celebrate easter with my boyfriend! Just a quick post with an outfit I wore last week.

I am really digging the neon trend nowadays, never thought I would though! I just paired a simple grey skinny jeans with grey suede heels and spiced it up with a neon pink knit and transparent plastic chunky necklace, both from the H&M trend collection. I love almost everything from the H&M trend collection, what about you! And just accessorized it with a simple black 'n white snakeskin clutch that I found in one of the small boutiques in Hong Kong!

Enjoy the extra long weekend!

Look of the day "Black Flower"

I wore this outfit almost a month ago when my family came over to celebrate my birthday. But I completly forgot to post it. We had a wonderfull evening full of lots of fingerfood! And I got to wear my recent bought Marni for H&M heels, have I already mentioned how much I love them ;-) And the necklace is one of my new favourites as well!!

{Skirt - Zara} - {Shoes & Necklace - Marni for H&M} - {Shirt - Talk Talk (Korean brand)}

This outfit is actually the best of both worlds. It's quite black and sophisticated and the flowers just give it this seasons feel! It has something tropical and mysterious at the same time, anyaway I don't know about you, but I love it!!

Look of the day "Afro/Indo print"

I am still very happy with this purchase from the Marni for H&M capsule collection. The dress is just gorgeous, I love the casual fit, and decided to pair it with a black/gold braided belt from zara. The fabric is silky soft and the prints are amazing. The front side reminds me of those african fabrics, as well the colours as the pattern. Then the backside reminds me of these indonesian batik fabrics.

{Dress/Shoes/Earrings - Marni for H&M} - {Belt - Zara}

I totally love them, and the combination of both is what makes this dress so unique, two continents mixed in one! Adding the shoes and lovely earrings from the same collection made it work perfectly!

Look of the day "Golden Coast"

What's not to like about anything shiny or golden? And what's not to like about bright colours and some tropical palm tree's? Well that was my point when I chose this outfit. Hope you like it!

{Pants - Versace for H&M} - {Sweater & Necklace - H&M} - {Shoes - Zara}

These pants are actually from Versace for H&M capsule collection and I was lucky enough to still find these in exactly my size online! I really love these and since I'm hooked on anything with colour or prints these days, I had to add these to my collection.
